Our Clients Problem
Being a top floor penthouse in central London, opposite Buckingham Palace no less, does have its positives and benefits, including lovely views of London through the extensive glazing. The downside of lots of glazing and being on the top floor, is the excessive heat generated by the solar gain, so this apartment, whilst beautiful, sweltered in the summer and suffered with high humidity at the same time. The apartment was well ventilated with fresh air and extract air but something needed to be done about the excess heat!
Details of Air Conditioning Installation
We went through a range of options with the clients and decided on a multi-split design with two Toshiba Haori wall mounted units in both bedrooms, and a ducted unit serving the Living Room. The Haori is visually stunning with the light grey stretched fabric covering over the fascia – the appearance is one of a sound bar, or stereo speaker, and it complements most decor. The outdoor unit is installed on the flat roof and is invisible to the end user!
