Our Clients Problem
This beautiful 1920’s home has a first floor extension, undertaken many years ago, and it dates from a time when wall insulation standards are considerably lower than they are today. This means the Master Bedroom has an over-heating problem in summer. Recent building works added insulation but it still suffered. Following a recommendation from a previous satisfied client, the owners got in touch to see if we could help. The construction of the walls, with external wall tiles, meant drilling through external tiles and, more importantly, routeing pipework across them would be problematic.
Details of Air Conditioning Installation
We proposed a Panasonic Console split system air conditioning unit. You will see the Console split system is positioned much lower than traditional wall mounted split systems, which gives us the advantage of having the interconnecting pipework much lower down the wall, meaning the penetration point outside is much lower on the external wall tiles. With a much lower exit point, our pipework could be housed in black PVC trunking and immediately then return to the brickwork where it could be safely clipped and then route to the outdoor unit which was mounted on wall brackets nearby. A satisfied client with immediate heating and cooling at the touch of a button!
